Privacy Policy

Draft template — review and finalize with legal counsel (and confirm CCPA/GDPR and FCRA/GLBA obligations) before launch.

Information we collect

Account details you provide (name, email, state), the debt and account information you add or import, documents you upload, and product usage data. With your explicit permission, we may retrieve credit and liability data from third-party providers to populate your accounts.

Consent for credit data (FCRA)

We pull credit information only with your permissible-purpose consent, which you may review and revoke. Consent is recorded with a timestamp, scope, and version.

How we use your information

To provide the tools you ask for — preparing requests and letters, tracking accounts and offers, scheduling the payments you authorize, and supporting you. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments

Settle never holds your funds. Payments you authorize move directly from your account to your creditor via a licensed processor; we receive transaction references for tracking, not custody of money.

Your choices & rights

Depending on your state, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can revoke consents. Some records are retained where law requires. To make a request, email [email protected].

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
